I'm a multi-instrumentalist, digital painter and writer interested in dark, grim and somber themes.
Music
Wanting to be a musician since he could remember himself, Leo Val taught himself to play drums at an early age and found and unexplored passion for making his own music. The drive to compose his own songs lead him to learn to play guitar and trying out his hand in different music styles.
His early inspirations Dream Theater, The Flower Kings, Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Kanno and later inspirations like David Maxim Micic, Ayreon and Klayton (Celldweller) directly influence Leo Val’s music and work etiquette, making all of his music an amazing musical journey where you can for example hear metal and electronic music being combined with classical instruments, delivering a unique and imagination provoking sound.
Art
I started painting in late 2017 after a long hiatus. I got the painting spark by doing some album covers for a Video game music cover group called Pixel Mixers and got excited of painting again.I like to paint grim and somber fantasy and sometimes some Sci-fi.
Writing
My first short story has been published and is available through the Jester's Tear site!I've been fascinated by writing my own stories for a while now and only recently I "cracked" the code how to write a decent and flowing narrative. I'm still learning, but from the feedback I've been getting, the writing is getting better and better.I'm interested in telling dark and moody stories.
